For over 20 years Susan Robertson has been working in the Information Technology field and is currently employed by Hewlett Packard. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Information Science with a Minor in Business. Her husband Bob, who is also a techie, puts his creative talents to work in his technology business, RobertsonConsultants, building websites, updating content, doing internet marketing, public relations, and photography. As a family and a career woman, Susan enjoys having many roles. Although a techie by trade, Susan is a gardener at heart and this is where her creativity and passion meet.
Weekends, off days, and sanity days (vacation days used for gardening) are when Susan spends as much time as possible in her garden. For Susan, gardening is not just a hobby, it truly is effective therapy.
Other pastimes that Susan enjoys are church activities, cooking, spending time with her husband, family and friends, going on picnics, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
Susan’s philosophy is, “There is always something new to learn on any topic. No one knows everything but by sharing our knowledge with each other there are no limits to what we can learn in a lifetime.” She is very interested in sharing her gardening experience and in learning from other gardening enthusiasts. This blog is designed and intended to focus on doing just that with an emphasis on gardening responsibly and in harmony with our environment.
